Our speech therapy services are provided by licensed and board certified speech-language pathologists. Speech-language pathology services are provided for a wide variety of communication disorders. We provide therapy for clients with articulation/speech disorders, phonological disorders, apraxia, oral motor impairments, language disorders, hearing loss, cochlear implants, cleft palate, myofunctional therapy (tongue thrust), fluency (stuttering) and those needing alternative and augmentative communication systems.
These disorders may simply be the result of genetics or developmental delay or caused by an underlying disease, syndrome or disorder such as a learning disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, hydrocephalus, prematurity, trauma, hearing loss, etc.
We strongly believe in establishing a functional communication system as quickly as possible through use of words, gestures, sign language, PECS and speech generating computers while working towards our ultimate goal of verbal communication.
